Publishing a book has been one of my greatest moments lately. I never intended to write a book or share my personal story, but sometimes life brings what it has to bring.
It was a gloomy day back in January. I was tired and joyless. I had just gotten home and opened my computer while playing with my cat, and the next thing I remember is an open World document with 5 pages of text. Thinking back, I do not even remember having an idea to write. I do not journal much either, so it seems like it was meant to be.
I read through what I had written and sent the file to my family to ask them what they thought. To my surprise, they all told me to keep on going. So I did. 2 months later I had the skeleton of the text ready, the book had written itself. I was just there to type out my thoughts, experiences and struggles, all the rest just flew into place. Then I started illustrating, changing and rewriting, looking for publishing opportunities and finally in August managed to get it out into the world.
I am still surprised that this time I did not plan anything, I simply let it flow. There will be 2 more series coming – one about sugar and the other about Eastern wisdom. I am excited and awestruck at the same time, and that is why I tell myself that my book won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But if it speaks to you, I am more than happy and very grateful for all this journey called life.
What would your life be like if you dropped the weight topic?
“Simply Healthy” is like a compact manual that touches different types of eating problems and diet trends, making you more aware of the hidden causes and possible traps they hold. This book has a holistic approach and is helping you understand what to value in life and what to focus on instead. Food is not our enemy, anger, sadness and lack of self-love are.
If you have been struggling with finding the right way to live, you still follow a certain diet and food rules, struggle to like yourself, not to even mention love yourself, and wish to become more centered and aware of your true needs, this book is for you.
