A cake is a cake, even if half of a zucchini is hidden into it.
Lately, I have been a real banana bread baker. I love to wait until the bananas turn dotty and brown so the sweetness comes out better. My kitchen is constantly smelling sweet thanks to the ripening bananas on the table and my fridge is full of banana-bread-ready bananas.
I like to make one banana bread during the weekend and have a slice ready for those rushed mornings or late night sweet cravings. Most of the time I don´t weigh the ingredients and using what I have in hand I see what comes out.
This time I felt I should make a banana bread that is a little bit more balanced with macros. I do not calculate anything myself and honestly don´t know what the ratios should be. But when eating a cake every day I better make it more filling and satisfying. 💖
I decided to use some extra protein kick in my cake as well as adding some greens and superfoods. And on top of that wanted to make it into a chocolate cake as well. Should I name it a GreenChocolateSuperCake instead? 😆
Zucchini Chocolate Bread is made of rye flakes, cacao powder, bananas and zucchini, little bit of coconut sugar, @bemoresuperfoods BeFit blend and Baobab powder and some extra Pea protein and Brown Rice protein from @bulkpowders. Healthy, delicious and filling for either dessert or why not for a kick-starter breakfast. You know me, I could eat cake all day every day 😊
